Consultants Booz Allen have compiled a list of the world’s most enduring organizations. They seem to have missed the Daddy of them all, the only organization that has maintained the continuity and of its structure and mission over 2000 years.

The Catholic Church has had a pretty-much continuous chain of leaders since the first century. Most of that period is well-documented, and a clear organizational hierarchy existed for most of that time (although there were certainly schisms and disputes along the way, as with any earthly operation). No other organization of any type comes close to having a record like this. Didn’t even get a mention with Booz Allen though.
